Refund & Cancellation Policy – Classical Lanka Tours


Thank you for choosing Classical Lanka Tours for your Sri Lanka travel experience. We are committed to delivering exceptional service and unforgettable journeys. Please read our refund and cancellation policy carefully before confirming your booking.


1. Tour Booking Cancellations

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email.

Cancellation charges are applied as follows:

  • More than 14 days before the tour date – Full refund (excluding bank/transaction fees)
  • 7–14 days before the tour date – 50% cancellation fee
  • Less than 7 days before the tour date – 100% cancellation fee
  • No-show on the tour date – 100% cancellation fee

Refunds will be processed to the original payment method.


2. Safari & National Park Tours

For tours to national parks such as:

  • Yala National Park
  • Udawalawe National Park
  • Wilpattu National Park
  • Bundala National Park

Please note:

  • National park entrance tickets are non-refundable once purchased.
  • Jeep safari bookings may carry separate cancellation policies depending on the service provider.
  • Cancellations within 72 hours of the safari date are generally non-refundable.


3. Multi-Day Tours & Private Tailor-Made Tours

For customized Sri Lanka tour packages including hotels, transport, and experiences:

  • A deposit is required to confirm the booking.
  • Deposit payments are non-refundable if cancelled within 14 days of arrival.
  • Hotel cancellation policies may vary depending on the property and season (Peak Season: December–April & July–August).
  • Any non-refundable hotel charges will be deducted from the total refund amount.


4. Refund Processing Time

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.
  • The time taken for funds to reflect in your account depends on your bank or payment provider.
  • Bank charges, payment gateway fees, or currency exchange differences may be deducted from the refunded amount.


5. Amendments & Rescheduling

We understand that travel plans may change.

  • Date changes are subject to availability.
  • Requests must be made at least 72 hours before the scheduled tour.
  • Additional charges may apply depending on supplier policies (hotels, safari jeeps, entrance tickets).


6. Weather & Force Majeure

Sri Lanka is a tropical destination, and weather conditions may occasionally affect travel plans.

  • Tours will not be refunded due to unfavorable weather unless officially closed by authorities.
  • In cases of government restrictions, natural disasters, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, we will offer rescheduling options where possible.


7. Damaged or Service Issues

If you experience any issues during your tour, please notify us immediately so we can resolve them promptly. Customer satisfaction is our priority, and we will take reasonable steps to address any verified concerns.
